Item Description

An attractive and very rarely seen thumbnail piece that hails from a discovery in 2021, where a very limited discovery of wonderful Native Bismuth crystals was made at the Piaotang Mine. So far, this appears to have been an isolated discovery, as we haven't seen any more since the first pieces came out. Native Bismuth crystals are relatively rare, especially from China in this quality. This piece is a wonderful Bismuth specimen with somewhat defined crystal faces, and sharp "casts" where the it grew and constrained against Quartz which was later dissolved away. These "casts" are not uncommon in Bismuth crystals, but I'll bet you've never seen one in a specimen from China before. Don't miss out if you're looking to get one of these, we will only have a select few to offer in the auctions.
