Item Description

This piece hails from a discovery in 2021, where a very limited discovery of wonderful Native Bismuth specimens was made at the Piaotang Mine. This seems to be an isolated discovery, as we haven't seen any more since they were first found. Native Bismuth crystals are relatively rare, especially from China. This piece is a moderately lustrous, Bismuth crystal with a rounded termination, and very sharp and distinct well-formed "casts" where the it grew and constrained against Quartz which was later dissolved away. These "casts" are not uncommon in Bismuth crystals, but I'll be you've never seen one in a specimen from China before. Don't miss out if you're looking to get one of these, we will only have a select few to offer in the auctions.
