Item Description

A massive, solid nugget of crystallized, striated, native bismuth from the Czech side of the famed Erzgebirge. The ends of the vein reveal the lustrous, bronze-colored, flattened and striated crystals. The nubby faces are the ends of the bismuth crystal lathes, shown to be up to 1.2 cm long. 94 grams mass, here. Very rich, rare and old ore from this noted locale. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection, a noted Czech specialist and calculated to be from the late 1800s.
