Item Description

A striking and rare combination of a crystallized mass of solid native bismuth from a classic Australian locale in Queensland. The bismuth has fine luster. Two, brilliantly metallic, sprays of laminar molybdenite blades are dramatically attached to the ends of the piece. The bismuth crystal faces reflect negative casts of prior quartz. This piece shows unusually well-formed "casts" of the bismuth grown and constrained against quartz as it grew, forming a striking multi-sided piece. This is rare, classic and outstanding material from the famed Wolfram Camp. valued $900
