Item Description

A massively hefty specimen, whose 611 gram mass is startling for the size of the piece, of pure bismuth. These form as pseudocrystalline shapes that were apparently constrained in growth by calcite, quartz, or other mineralization in this famous deposit, which was once a major ore source for bismuth worldwide. While specimens are common today on the market in smaller sizes, this is actually quite large and dramatic, and shows "faces" that look like crystals (but are not, technically), in a dramatic manner. Complete all around! Valued $1000-1250
