Item Description

A sharp looking crystal of bismuth, as you often see these labelled, is actually something a little more complicated in that these are the shapes they are because they formed as a negative cast of or mold against a former quartz crystal - and this is what gives them the strange, sci-fi shapes. A showy and excellent thumbnail of native bismuth. From the old classic Wolfram Camp, that produced outstanding molybdenite and bismuth specimens. There is another negative cast on the bottom of the silver metallic piece. From the collection of well-known rarities dealer Josef Vajdak (Pequa Rare Minerals), who passed away in 2019. Classic style native bismuth from the famous locale.
