Item Description

This rare, old-time, combination ore specimen is from the historic St. Andreasberg district. The polished slab reveals fingers and swirls of bright, silvery, native Antimony. In fact, these arborescent branches look like an ancient, meandering river with the sky reflecting off it as seen from above. When you flip it over, you can tell that the metallic Antimony branches emanate from more massive Antimony ore. All encased by white, fluorescent Calcite. Undoubtedly older material, and a highlight of Kay Robbertson's Andreasberg drawer. Pieces with such a fine aesthetic as this are rare. valued $500-1000
