Item Description

Nagyagite specimens (lead-gold-telluride) from this historic Type Locality gold mining district are quite rare and are highly desirable. Splendent, laminar crystals to 1.7 cm are richly scattered on all sides of the RARE matrix of rhodochrosite and rose quartz crystals with granular gold. Quality specimens, such as this, of this classic, rare and rich old-time combination material undoubtably date to the 1800s, but no proof. Very rich ore. Valued at $750. Ex Carl Davis Collection.
