Mustard Jasper

I am told that Mustard Jasper is only found in Indonesia. It is mined from the top of an active volcano. This "Oval Cabochon" cut stone shows beautiful yellow banding set against a dark greenish-black background. A lovely gem of this uncommon material, and certainly some of the most interesting and eye-catching Jasper that I have seen from anywhere.
