Item Description

A beautiful example of the famous "Mushroom" Tourmalines from the Palelni Mine in Myanmar which came out in the late 1990s. This particular style / habit is certainly distinctive for Tourmaline, and the gorgeous rich Rubellite color makes them all the more enticing. This fantastic thumbnail featuring a polycrystalline semi-spherical group of gemmy, rich reddish-pink Tourmaline free of matrix. When backlit, the color is beautiful. The top / display side of the specimen is undamaged and has excellent luster. A bit of attached feldspar can be seen on the underside. A really eye-catching and unique Tourmaline specimen that would make a wonderful addition to any gem crystal suite, a thumbnail collection or a suite of minerals from Myanmar
