Item Description

Choice, highly unusual, radial cluster of Muscovite books, along with a suite of pegmatitic Erongo minerals. The individual Muscovite crystals are about .35 cm thick and 3 cm across, and as they stack together, they create a spherical cluster about 4 cm across. This growth pattern is rather remarkable and attractive, and certainly unusual. You can see the layers in the pics. The Muscovite is associated with Schorl, more Muscovite, Quartz, and Feldspar. The intergrown nature of the Quatrz/Felspar appears to be pegmatitic. There is even some Hyalite Opal, which is often found at Erongo. and adds a lot of pizzazz to the piece. A distinctive, quality small cabinet specimen.
