Item Description

Most muscovite is, to us spoiled collectors of sharp crystals, simply host rock or matrix to be trimmed away or to display the good stuff on. THIS, though, is a killer muscovite specimen in and of its own! It has huge, dramatic crystals: This combo specimen feature large, pearlescent lustered, foliated crystals, 21 cm across, associated with small amounts of white albite for accent. Just as an example of the species, it is phenomenal, and in remarkably good display condition with unusual aesthetics. It has the aesthetics of a miniature sized specimen any of us would own with fancier minerals in the same case, but it is 21 cm across!. I have seen some of this magnitude in the past, rarely, and usually they are valued in the $2500-5000 range. (see recent public natural history auctions, for examples)
