Muscovite (var: Fuchsite)

Item Description

A richly colored specimen of the chromium-bearing variety of Muscovite, Fuchsite. It used to be a valid species, but now is reserved for the greenish variety of Muscovite (most often chromium or vanadium bearing). This piece features lovely foliated, green, bladed crystals of Fuchsite with a soft, almost waxy metallic appearance. Hard to find on the market and I know there aren't a lot of people who collect Mica, but this is a worthwhile piece for your collection if you happen to be looking for one.
