Item Description

A really attractive and eye-catching miniature display specimen of beautiful "Star" Muscovite Mica from the Molo Quarter (Village) in Myanmar. These are certainly some of the most distinctive and eye-catching examples of Mica for their wonderful morphology. This particular piece features a wonderful group of eye-catching golden color, well-formed, star shaped twinned crystals of Muscovite with minor associated black prismatic Schorl crystals. Now this piece does have some damage in areas, so it's not 100% pristine, but it's still very showy. The largest twin measures 2.8 cm across. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
