Muscovite specimens are VERY RARE from the Woodstock area of the historic pegmatites of Oxford County! MINDAT lists seven localities, but there are no examples in the locality Photo Gallery. This is a striking large, two-sided, textbook hexagonal plate with splendent pearlescent bronze color. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5114 and acquired from Helen H. in the mid-1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). An excellent and RARE large Oxford County muscovite.
