Item Description

A trio of attractive pseudomorphs featuring what were once hexagonal Sapphire crystals, that have been replaced by Muscovite (and a bit of granular Quartz upon close inspection). All of the pieces are in good condition, with no major damage that I can see. You don't find a lot of pseudomorphs from Mogok like this, and this set is would make a great addition to any pseudomorph collection or a suite of unusual minerals from Myanmar. The largest crystal measures 4.0 x 1.1 x 1.1 cm, and the smallest crystal measures 2.5 x 0.9 x 0.8 cm. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
