Item Description

A VERY RARE pseudomorph from this obscure DR Congo underground gold mine. Muscovite has replaced a sharp pseudo-orthorhombic prismatic staurolite crystal. You can see the muscovite in the interior of both ends of the crystal. Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from here, and this is perhaps, a UNIQUE pseudomorph from the Wouter van Tichelen Pseudomorph Collection.
