Muscovite, Orthoclase, Fluorite, and Schorl

You rarely find Muscovite in elongated crystals that go much beyond thin books, but here we have numerous, well-developed crystals, several of which grow to over 2 cm in length. That's really quite amazing for Muscovite on this scale and habit. The Muscovites are nicely terminated, and those that are truncated show beautifully the excellent hexagonal habit and superb pearly luster. The Muscovite is associated with a ring of mm-size Fluorute crystals, white Orthoclase, and minor black Schorl. A fine miniature, and better than the pics.
