Item Description

A 3.0 x 2.5 x 2.2 cm, blocky, pseudo-hexagonal muscovite "book" is aesthetically perched atop two, intergrown, sharp, amazonite crystals from this uncommon Park County locality. The amazonites have pretty turquoise-blue and creamy-white color. One side of the muscovite is contacted, as is one end of the amazonite. The Trimingham label says zinnwaldite, a discredited lithium-rich mica group varietal, but this is muscovite. Collected by Collector's Edge in July, 1990, according to the label. Showy and fine combination material from this less well-known locale.
