Muscovite on Albite

Item Description

This is a really attractive crystallized specimen of Muscovite mica from the famous Sapucaia mine in Brazil. This piece features fine quality Muscovite groups of golden hexagonal "books" with sharp faces, high luster and wonderful internal gemminess. The largest Muscovite group measures 2.9 cm. The best part of the piece is that the Muscovite is sitting on contrasting sparkling "rosette" of Albite (variety: Cleavelandite). Muscovite is not typically found in such good quality crystallized examples, and you might not think of it as a collector species, but this is a very worthwhile full sized miniature that would fit nicely into any collection.
