Muscovite (old classic) (ex Wilke and Watson Collections)

Item Description

A cool single hexagonal crystal of translucent golden Muscovite, free of matrix from Grafton, New Hampshire. No specific locality was given, so it's difficult to say specifically where the piece was found. Grafton was incorporated as a town in 1778 and mining around Grafton has been taking place for nearly as long. This piece comes with a label from the famed mineral dealer, R. M. Wilke (https://mineralogicalrecord.com/biographies_labels/wilker-m/) and later into the collection of Marcella Watson.
