Item Description
Beautifully pearlescent rose-brown rosettes of hexagonal muscovite plate are aesthetically clustered on this very sculptural small cabinet from a famous 1989 find at the Ze Pinto Prospect in Minas Gerais. The bit of attached feldspar is a nice contrast. This is a very fine and pristine 360-degree specimen. Some of the finest muscovites every found plus excellent apatite specimens came from this large find. See the 1990 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 21, No. 5. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. A choice and excellent muscovite from the find.
