Two generations of sparkly black mottramite botryoids cover both sides of the quartz matrix on this showy, old-time, LARGE CABINET specimen from the very interestingly named Total Wreck Mine of Arizona. This obscure mine was intermittently worked from the 1880s to 1940. The botryoids on the totally covered side of the quartz matrix are larger and more sparkly, than the side that has the end covered with the lustrous calcite crystals.
