Mottramite with Calcite

Item Description

A classic eye-catching specimen featuring dendritic/arborescent olive green Mottramite associated with a translucent, colorless, highly compressed rhombic crystal of Calcite measuring 2.9 cm across, with minor matrix from Tsumeb. Some of the Mottramites are actually included inside of the Calcite for a nice effect. The crystallization is good on the Mottramite, and at first glance it almost reminds one of a French Pyromorphite! The Calcite crystal is in fairly good shape, but has a bit of roughness around the edges. Overall a nice representation of this classic material from what is widely agreed to be the world's most significant mineral locality.
