Item Description

Some of the most interesting pseudomorphs after Wulfenite have come from Tsumeb. This piece is a gorgeous and showy example of deep green colored Mottramite forming pseudomorphs after tabular Wulfenite crystals. To top it off, the entire reverse side of the specimen is coated by sharp, little, gemmy Calcite rhombs. The specimen is rather intricate and three-dimensional, and looks good from several angles. This is a great example of this rarely seen phenomenon in the mineral world, and one of the best of this specific type of pseudomorphs that we've offered. Valued at $2800. A specialty piece to be sure, but certainly rare and worthwhile.
