Mottramite pseudo. after Wulfenite (Willy Israel Coll.)

Lustrous, wet-look, apple-green, mottramite botryoids cover this wall of solid mottramite - that actually has coated a piece of matrix which somehow looks like a large wulfenite crystal! A couple of yellow wulfenite blades on the upper left hand corner are a nice accent, as are the tiny, sparkly calcite rhombs sprinkled about. Mottramite has not pseudomorphed any wulfenite, as the Willy Israel label accompanying, states. But it sure looks like it at first glance. Regardless, this is a superior quality mottramite from Tsumeb and rarely available in this vivid green color. Valued $500
