Item Description

A very rare thumbnail specimen, and an interestign crystal, of the dark copper mineral mottramite replacement after a crystal of typical Tsumeb azurite. Layers of blue/green banding inside, visible from underneath the bottom and looking up, indicate that this was a multiple stage replacement, with the azurite first turning into malachite or rosasite (or both), before the final replacement. unusual!
