Mottramite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A hard to find specimen of the old Mottramites from the Summit Mine in Montana. I've seen that these specimens are sometimes labeled as Mottramite / Descloizite. This piece features beautiful olive-green aggregates measuring up to 4mm across sitting on drusy Calcite matrix. Great quality, and very hard to find on the market today! You only see these specimens in old collections. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10621). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
