Item Description

Mottramite, a Pb-Cu-vanadate, was totally unknown from famed Mina Ojuela prior to this late 2011 find. These were a major hit at the 2012 Tucson Show. Velvety bubbly botryoids of olive-green and olive-brown mottramite totally cover the thin gossan small cabinet crust on this very showy and rich example of the species and find. For decades Tsumeb was the prestigious locality for Mottramite until this significant discovery. Many now consider these Ojuela Mottramites as the best of species.
