Morganite w/ Tourmaline (rare combo - classic locale)

Item Description

Morganite and tourmaline combinations of this quality are very uncommon from this classic New England pegmatite locality. Two, lustrous, multi-hued green, elbaite crystals, to 2.5 cm are jauntily perched on two, intergrown, light pastel-pink, lustrous, moderately tranlucent, hexagonal morganite crystals with quartz. The frontal display view is in excellent shape. The basal periphery wear shows numerous small elbaites and there are more embedded, elsewhere, on the piece. The contacted back side is out-of-sight. Old material, as the quarry was last worked in 1944.
