Item Description

Sharp hexagonal morganites from the White Queen Mine are among the most desirable San Diego County pegmatite mineral species. Three intergrown, sharply terminated, mostly gemmy morganite crystals measuring 4.3 x 3.2 x 3.2 cm, are aesthetically attached to cleavelandite and quartz. The color is a pretty pastel-pink. The termination faces of largest crystal are very gemmy, as some faces are water-clear and some are frosted. Bruising on the backside of the piece is noted, but is mostly out of sight. It is probably from the 1960s era, mined by Norm Dawson. Highly representative and uncommon material from this famous mine. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
