An incredibly RARE morganite beryl from the renowned Himalaya Mine, famed for world-class tourmalines and many other species. This striking, sculptural, heavily etched, very glassy floater gem crystal is a pretty light pastel-pink. Formerly in the Josie Scripps Collection. Josie was a prominent California collector and benefactor of minerals. She passed away in 1992. Then in the James Bowersox Collection. Ex Bill Larson Southern California Pegmatite Collection and long on display at his Pala International shop in Fallbrook. An exceptional, old, RARE Himalaya Mine morganite with a fine provenance. It probably dates to the 1950s-1960s mining efforts. Mass is 93.77 carats or 18.75 grams. A MUST for the species or locality collector! Value?? These are simply not for sale at any price and we were fortunate to get this old collection of such treasures. When they are gone...they are gone!
