A gem, robust and aesthetically perched matrix morganite from Pech. This remarkably stout, textbook hexagonal, tabular, 360-degree, 6.0 x 5.0 x 3.8 cm crystal is pristine and is dramatically set on the highly sculptural albite matrix. The beautiful crystal has fine pink color. It is not gem quality, but it is translucent. A hint of the gemminess is visible on the C-axis frontal face, but interior gemminess is obscured by an interesting satin lustre, frosted &/or etched faces on all sides of this striking highly modified crystal. The photographs could not capture the true quality of this outstanding and impressive matrix morganite. Valued at $2500-3000.
