Morganites from the famous Stewart Mine are RARE and highly desirable. This is a complete all-around, euhedral, floater crystal with pretty pastel-pink color. Several faces are niftily accented with purple lepidolite crystal clusters or discrete crystals. The gemmy crystal is very glassy, transparent to translucent and was difficult to photograph. The lighter, brighter areas are actually the gemmiest portions of the crystal, where you are looking deep inside. Nearly pristine, with only one gently contacted corner. Old material from the 1960s, and very seldom available in this exceptional combination quality. Ex Maury Morgenstein Collection (an old-time San Diego miner and gem dealer). 103 grams.
