Item Description
An excellent and classic, tabular morganite crystal from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The glassy, rich pink crystal has a water-clear edge and prism faces, with the typical translucent inner core. The edge faces are typically frosted and etched. Pearlescent, pastel-pink, muscovite and snow-white cleavelandite blades are a nice accent to this showy, two-sided gem crystal. One end and the base are contacted, but there is only very trivial bruising and there is more embedded cleavlandite on the back. For the size, this is a highly representative example, with rich color and gemminess, from this locale. Difficult to photograph, due to glassiness and gemminess. Herb valued this at $400, five or more years ago. Fairly valued today at $500-700, we think. 25 grams.
