Item Description
This showy specimen from the Herb Obodda dealer stock, once valued at $650 in his inventory over 5 years ago, features two stacked intergrown crystals of classic pink-colored morganite with a bit of cleavelandite. It is well balanced, and displays the gemmy crystals to maximum effect with the intense, more gemmy cores to the crystals right in the middle as they grab the eye (and you can look inside through the 2.0 cm deep crystals). Morganites just seem to be fewer and far between now, perhaps due to the easier pickings having been hit over the last 30 years of digging there. Seldom can you get good, sharp morganites from other localities that compete with the Afghani material, in this price range anyhow. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
