Item Description
Two engaging enechelon morganite crystals are jauntily set atop the bladed cleavelandite matrix and are nicely accented by iridescent green ellbaites to 2.0 cm. The textbook, tabular, hexagonal morganites have pretty pastel-pink color and high glassy luster. The more gemmy core is readily apparent on the large stout crystal, which is 3.3 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm wide. Both morganites are pristine. The underlying matrix is pearlescent mucovite with terminated quartz crystals. Classic, very aesthetic and excellent combination from Paprok and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Seldom can you get good, sharp morganites from other localities that compete with the Afghanistan material, in this price range anyhow. Valued by Herb at $1200 over five years ago. It is certainly worth more today.
