Morganite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A stout, thick, sharp, lustrous, translucent, doubly-terminated, soft pink colored crystal of Morganite Beryl with minor attached Muscovite from an undisclosed locality in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The piece is in great shape overall, though it does have a contact on the underside where it was removed from the pocket. It's hard to find good Brazilian Morganites on the market these days, and this piece is a worthwhile display specimen of this classic material. You don't see a lot of thick robust Morganite crystals like this from any locality. Specimen weight is 226 grams. Priced in the inventory at $1,500. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8497). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
