Mordenite (rare locality)

Item Description

In this amygdaloidal basalt, we have a series of very attractive, interconnected vugs, each densely lined with white, highly lustrous hairs of Mordenite. These hairs average about 3 mm in length, and they are quite eye-catching. The orangey base to these crystals may be due to the presence of Huelandite. An excellent specimen with choice aesthetics. Even better in person.
