Item Description

Mordenite is one of the rarer members of the zeolite family. It forms fine sprays of radial acicular crystal clusters that look like pin-cushions or snowballs. This is an excellent mordenite combination specimen from Jalgaon. A 4.0 cm mordenite ball is nicely set in the amethyst lined pocket, along with a partial ball and smaller mordenite balls, giving the specimen fine balance to go along with the beautiful contrast in color. The mordenites have excellent definition, where you can actually see the terminations of the fine needles that comprise each ball.
