Item Description

A sharp and very well-formed Morganite Beryl crystal from Afghanistan (originally labeled from the Papra{?} Mine {possibly Paprok}). Typically, Morganite is not found in sharp, euhedral crystals, and is truly only known in fine specimens from a handful of world localities. The crystals on this specimen are in very good shape, and show thick tabular form. The piece has a rich pink color, with good luster and well-defined crystal faces associated with minor Albite and greenish-brown Tourmaline. Great shape on the display side with some incomplete growth on the sides where it was removed from the pocket. A worthwhile small cabinet sized display specimen of this well-known material. Ex Herb Obodda specimen, valued at $1800
