Item Description
Moonstone is a varietal name given to the tranlucent Feldspar Labradorite. This particular stone exhibits all the qualities of a fine Moonstone. This stone is a beautiful carved "face" which when viewed through transmitted light, exhibits a beautiful milky appearance, and when it is viewed by reflected light, exhibits a superb blue "sheen". This is very characteristic of Moonstone and highly desirable among collectors. Moonstones have been adored by people for thousands of years (dating back to the Romans), and for the $10 starting bid, this stone will probably end up being a great bargain for somebody.
