Item Description
Moonstone is a varietal name given to translucent Feldspar (mainly Labradorite, but other Feldspar species can be called Moonstone). This particular stone is a rarely seen "cat's eye" gem, one of the very few of it's kind that I have seen. This stone has an "oval cabochon" cut gem with a distinct, pale golden color "eye" running the length of the stone. When it is viewed in reflected light, the stone exhibits a very faint blue-grey "sheen". This is a very attractive and hard to find Moonstone which a feature that is highly desirable among collectors.
