Item Description
Sculptural floater native copper is richly covered on all sides with crusts of the extremely rare blue-green organic oxalate moolooite. This rich, colorful and sculptural rarity is from the well-known Ahmeek Mine of Copper Country, the only locality in the historic district for the species. The species was first described in 1986. Rich, rare and excellent combination material from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named. A significant Michigan combination rarity. And, not the usual slab or sawed portion. It is a natural sculptural piece.
