Item Description

Mooihoekite is a rare Cu-Fe sulfosalt. It is very uncommon in the Stillwater Complex, a large layered mafic intrusion that is about 2700 MYA. The Complex hosts Platinum-group element (PGE) deposits and occurrences. Patches of metallic bronze-yellow crystals are scattered on all sides of the quartz-rich miniature matrix. Very rare material from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named. Comes with a label from respected rarities dealer Pequa Minerals (Josef Vajdak).
