Item Description
A superb single crystal of gem yellow, transparent montebrasite from the pegmatites of Brazil. The luster is very good, and the surface of the faces are very finely textured. In fact, there appears to be a very sharp twinning plane on the front face of the crystal, which adds even more to the interest of this piece. Nearly doubly-terminated, it is a particularly fine large thumbnail example. Ex: Jingnan (Tom) Zhang Coll.
