Monazite (Fioravanti Coll.)

Item Description

An extremely sharp, monazite crystal from this classic Norway locale. The lustrous, mottled-brown (with flashy golden translucent areas), tabular prismatic crystal has high luster and very sharply defined accentuated edges. One side and the base are contacted, but this remains a very fine, highly representative example of the species and locale. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection. A fine single older crystal and obtained in an exchange in 1965.
