Item Description

An incredibly hard to find specimen of crystallized Monazite-(Ce) from the Bjertnes pegmatite in Buskerud, Norway. The crystal is not only sharp and well-formed, but also shows a wonderful pink hue. A bit of associtated Muscovite Mica makes for a nice touch as well. This is the FIRST specimen of this material that we've had to offer, and if you collect thumbnails or Norwegian or European minerals, don't miss out because it's good quality and virtually impossible to find on the market today. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7354). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
