Item Description

A showy and unusual example from the world's largest known emerald deposit, of a typically non-gem emerald from here. The 1.8 cm emerald crystal with deep green color and moderate luster is nicely set in a matrix. However, this is something you rarely see, as it also is associated with starkly contrasting metallic molybdenite crystals with quartz. The emerald is a fragment and is not terminated. Irregardless, this is a highly representative example of the species and locale. But more than that, what a strange combination/association?! Ex Consie Prince Collection.
