Item Description

A showy and excellent example from the world's largest known emerald deposit, of a typically non-gem emerald from here. The 3.2 cm, sharp emerald crystal with deep green color and moderate luster is nicely set in a matrix of smaller emeralds. However, and this is just something we have seen only oncce before, it also is associated with starkly contrasting metallic molybdenite crystals, in quartz. The termination even has a molybdenite crystal sitting on it! A highly representative example of the species and locale. But more than that, what a strange combination/association?!
